Ninh Binh's students win medals at 2021 Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad

Vu Thanh Lam, a 9th grader and Ngo Ha Phuong, an 8th grader, both from Yen Ninh Secondary School in Yen Khanh district, secured a gold medal and a silver medal, respectively, in the Olympiad, which was held online on August 28 - 29.

The Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad has been held online annually by the Olympiad Champion Education Centre of Hong Kong.   

At this year's contest, Lam got 105 marks and surpassed his rivals from 30 countries and territories to grab the gold medal. 

While his schoolmate Phuong also successfully won the silver medal in the same competition.

Both of them are outstanding students. They attended numerous national and international contests in various subjects like English, math and arts and they also brought home many awards for their achievements.
