The Red Cross Society of Ninh Binh on December 6 launched a movement called "Humanitarian Tet 2023" in a bid to care for the poor, policy beneficiary families, AO victims and vulnerable people in the province ahead of Tet holiday.
At the launching ceremony, 60 gift packages, each worth 600,000 VND, were handed over to poor and near-poor families and disadvantaged students in Gia Phuong commune of Gia Vien district.
Donors also presented the token to support the building of four households, each worth 50 million VND, for disadvantaged families.
As scheduled, the Red Cross Society is striving to mobilise funds to present 10,000 Tet gift packages worth 6 billion VND in total to the target people in all eight cities and districts of the province.
The movement aims to mobilise social sources to take care of the poor, people with difficult circumstances and vulnerable persons to help them enjoy a warm and happy Tet holiday.
