In the first three months, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) was estimated to hit nearly 12.14 trillion VND (516 million USD), a year-on-year increase of 8.45%, surpassing the plan.
With the result, Ninh Binh ranked 6th out of the country's 63 provinces and centrally-run cities, and 2nd in the Red River Delta region.
The agro-forestry-fishery sector raked in more than 846.6 billion VND (35.9 million USD), a rise of 2.87%; the industry-construction sector earned over 4 trillion VND (170 million USD), up 1.7% while the service sector grossed 4.73 trillion VND (199 million USD, up 17.51%.
In order to achieve the growth target set for 2023, the province will continue to carry out measures to boost economic growth and recovery; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles faced by enterprises; support and create favourable conditions for firms to recover and develop production and business.
In particular, the province has defined the goal of developing trade, service sector in an attempt to create momentum and breakthrough for economic growth.
