The championship took place from June 9-21 and brought together over 640 young players from 32 countries and territories.
They competed in age groups ranging from U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18. It featured the three categories of rapid chess, blitz chess, and standard chess for both genders.
The Vietnamese squad had 48 players, competing in all age groups and categories.
Ninh Binh sent three chess players to join the Vietnamese squad and two of them won six medals at the event.
Do An Hoa (U16) won a silver medal in the boy team's standard chess, a gold in the boy team's rapid chess and a silver in the boy team's blitz chess.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Hien (U16) bagged a silver in the girl team's standard chess, a gold in the girl team's rapid chess and a gold in the blitz chess.
These results have made contributions to the achievements of the Vietnamese team which secured a total of 41 medals and ranked third at the championship.
