Ninh Binh's leaders work with Thanh Cong Group Joint Stock Company

The Vice Chairmen of the provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Departments of Planning and Investment; Finance; Construction; Transport; Tourism; and Environment and Natural Resources; Industrial Park Authority; Gia Vien and Yen Mo districts and Tam Diep city also attended the working session.

The delegation inspected the construction progress of HTMT factory - the second automobile manufacturing and assembly plant of Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Auto Joint Venture Joint Stock Company.

The project covers an area of over 16 ha with total investment capital of more than 3.2 trillion VND (140 million USD). It has a designed capacity of 100,000 cars per year. Work on the project started in March 2021 and the progress of all items has been completed as scheduled.

The delegation also checked the progress of DT 477 road expansion project. 

Speaking at the working session, representatives of the Thanh Cong Group thanked Ninh Binh's administrations at all levels and  sectors for dealing with its proposals and petitions promptly and effectively, thus creating favourable conditions for the investors to carry out their projects.

 Chairman and General Director of the Thanh Cong Group Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed his wish to access to the province's planning schemes as well as future development orientations, thus laying a foundation for the company to build its own investment and business strategies.

In the time ahead, Thanh Cong will work with Ninh Binh to build Gia Vien into an industrial complex, drawing more strategic investors to contribute more to the state budget, providing more jobs for laboures, and creating breakthroughs for the province's socio-economic development.

On behalf of the working delegation, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc spoke highly of the Thanh Cong Group's achievements as well as its contributions to the province's socio-economic development.

Ninh Binh has always treasured and considered resources and culture as a foundation to build its socio-economic development strategies in the past years and in the coming years.

In particularly, it has defined tourism as a spearhead economic sector and worked out economic development policies based on three pillars: attracting investment into clean industry, hi-tech industry and environmental protection.

Therefore, Ninh Binh's authorities want to join hands with the Thanh Cong Group to build a hi-tech industrial complex with a national scale, he said.

Ninh Binh will zone off a new industrial park on an area of more than 400 ha, and it will invite Thanh Cong to invest in the IP's infrastructure, Ngoc said.

Besides, Ninh Binh will create the best conditions for Thanh Cong to carry out its project to build a tourism complex and a 54-hole golf course in Yen Thang commune of Yen Mo district, he said.

Ngoc also asked relevant sectors and agencies to work with Yen Mo and Tam Diep authorities to remove obstacles in site clearance for the project.

Yen Mo district and Tam Diep city need to build plans on the resettlement of affected households, he added.

For difficulties related to the expanded Gian Khau IZ and housing for workers, the Chairman requested relevant sectors to simplify administrative procedures and soon complete support infrastructure of IZs.
