Ninh Binh's leaders work with delegation from Cuban Ministry of Finance and Prices

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung and leaders of the Department of Finance, the Department of Tourism, the provincial People's Committee Office received and worked with the delegation.

At the working session, Tung briefed the guests on the province's socio-economic situation, underscoring that Ninh Binh has been persistently pursuing the direction of green and sustainable economic development.

The province has given priority to clean, environmentally-friendly industrial projects; organic and circular agricultural production; and developing services, especially turning tourism into a spearhead economic sector, he said.

The province's economy has been expanded. In 2022, its GRDP reached nearly 3.5 billion USD, and Ninh Binh became a self-balanced budget province with 24.3 trillion VND in budget collection, ranking 15th out of 63 centrally-run cities and provinces nationwide.

Rodriguez Ruiz said that the visit aimed to exchange experiences in managing local budget, focusing on managing and allocating the state budget, public debts and activities of state finance agencies.

Tung hoped that the session would bring precious experiences in managing finance issues to both sides and help tighten the special traditional friendship between two Parties, States, and people of Vietnam and Cuba in general and between Ninh Binh and Cuban localities in particular.
