Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha on September 19 received Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Yaron Mayer and his delegation.

At the reception, Mayer thanked Ninh Binh's leaders for their warm welcome and briefed to the hosts about Israel's socio-economic situation as well as its potential and strengths.
After introducing to the guests about Ninh Binh's potential and advantages, Ha said that the two sides have a lot of potential to step up cooperation.
Ha expressed her wish that the Israeli Embassy and the ambassador will send experienced experts and firms to help Ninh Binh develop hi-tech agriculture, especially building a suitable model of aquaculture and crop planting in the coastal district of Kim Son, and support local start-ups.
Later, the ambassador and his delegation had a working session with Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc.
Speaking at the working session, Ngoc congratulated Mayer on his appointment as the Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam and hoped that the diplomat would contribute to developing relations between Vietnam and Israel, particularly their economic, trade and investment ties.

Mayer said 2023 will mark the 30th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between Israel and Vietnam. The two countries would continue organising numerous celebrations in a bid to create new and effective development steps in the bilateral relationship, he said.
The ambassador held that Ninh Binh has a favourable geographical location and natural conditions as well as potential to boost cooperation with Israel in the future.

At the working session, representatives of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development expressed the wish that Israel would resume the reception of apprentices, a cooperation between Ninh Binh and Ramat Negev Desert Agro-Research Center after the COVID-19 pandemic was basically controlled.
Meanwhile, leaders of the coastal district of Kim Son proposed Israel provide support in terms of technology and consultancy to treat waste water in aquaculture.
Ngoc said Israel boasts strengths which Ninh Binh needs to step up cooperation, especially in the fields of start-up and organic and clean agriculture as well as in preserving and promoting culture heritages and tourism.
Representatives of the Israeli delegation pledged to boost the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Israel, and would provide favourable conditions for Ninh Binh's delegation to pay a working visit to Israel exchange experience in the time to come.
