Ninh Binh's leaders inspect COVID-19 prevention and control

The delegation checked the COVID-19 prevention and control work at Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Auto Joint Stock Company and Great Global International Co. Ltd. in Gian Khau Industrial Park. The two companies employ large numbers of workers, including foreigners and labourers  from neighbouring provinces.

Ngoc spoke highly of these enterprises' efforts in implementing numerous COVID-19 prevention and control measures in the past time.

He anticipated that the COVID-19 pandemic will worsen in the coming time as an increasing number of people returning from pandemic-hit areas. To maintain production and ensure safety amid the pandemic, Ngoc asked these enterprises to heighten vigilance, strengthen COVID-19 prevention and control measures, and actively devise specific scenarios to cope with possible pandemic outbreaks.

These enterprises must impose strict measures to manage or control the traveling of foreign employees and labourers from neighbouring provinces in order to avoid disruption in their production chains due to COVID-19.

The chairman underscored that the province always provides the best conditions to assist local enterprises in implementing the dual goals of pandemic containment and production.

Later, the delegation also inspected material conditions at Gia Tan kindergarten where 25 F1 and F2 cases are being quarantined.

Ngoc encouraged competent forces who are working in the quarantine establishment at the Gia Tan kindergarten to fulfill their tasks, contributing to the fight against COVID-19.

At a working session with Gia Vien district's leaders, Ngoc noted that the locality is home to numerous factories and plants which employ large numbers of workers, including those from neighbouring provinces. Therefore, it is necessary for Gia Vien district to actively carry out COVID-19 prevention and control measures and increase forces working at checkpoints, he added.

* Also in the afternoon of July 27, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son and his delegation examined the COVID-19 prevention and control work at some checkpoints and businesses in Khanh Phu Industrial Park and Yen Khanh, Kim Son and Yen Mo districts.

At COVID-19 checkpoints, Son requested units to allocate more tables and increase more staff in a bid to ease the overcrowd of vehicles, and ensure COVID-19 prevention and control conditions as well.

Later, the vice chairman inspected production and COVID-19 prevention and control activities at Ninh Binh Nien Hsing Garment Co. Ltd. in the Khanh Phu Industrial Park; Ninh Binh Chung Jye Footwear Co. Ltd in Yen Khanh district; Master Vina One-Member Liability Co. Ltd. in Kim Son district; and Athena Vietnam Footwear Co. Ltd. in Yen Mo district.

Son lauded these companies for their efforts in ensuring pandemic prevention and control, and maintaining production.

He also urged these enterprises to immediately conduct rapid COVID-19 tests for their workers and prepare materials to avoid disruption in production activities.
