Ninh Binh's leaders hold dialogue with local farmers

Attending the dialogue were Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; Chairman of the provincial People's Council Tran Hong Quang; and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, among others.

The dialogue aimed at listening to farmers' aspirations and collecting their opinions and proposals regarding agricultural production, activities of farmers' associations and rural development. 

At the same time, provincial leaders could grasp difficulties and hindrances faced by local farmers, and then put forth appropriate solutions to remove these difficulties, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Representatives of local farmers expressed raised opinions in all fields, including the province's policies and mechanisms to assist them in developing husbandry, plantation and aquaculture; shifting rice farming land; joining value chains; getting access to loans; transferring technologies; and treating waste in rural areas.

At the dialogue, leaders of the provincial People's Committee, departments and sectors cleared up farmers' opinions and proposals.

The dialogue was one of the province's efforts to help provincial leaders better understand the hindrances faced by local farmers, and promptly take appropriate measures and policies to assist them in production activities, developing a sustainable agriculture sector, applying scientific and technological advances, and digital transformation in agriculture, thus  improving living conditions of rural residents.
