At the working session, Son briefed the diplomats on the province's socio-economic situation in the past years as well as its development policies, orientations, strategies and solutions for the coming years.
Son also informed the Consuls General about relations between Ninh Binh and Lao provinces, saying that their friendship and cooperation have been continuously strengthened and expanded.
Ninh Binh is studying cooperation fields with Vientiane towards establishing friendship and cooperatives relations with the Lao capital city in the future, he said.
It is also seeking culture and tourism cooperation opportunities with Luang Prabang in an attempt to link historical relic sites of Hoa Lu ancient capital and Luang Prabang ancient capital and to share experience in preserving, restoring and promoting the values of the ancient capitals, the official noted.
Son also expressed his wish to receive support from the Consulates General in Pakse and Luang Prabang in preserving and promoting traditional relations between Ninh Binh and Oudomxay and other localities of Laos.
The Consuls General spoke highly of Ninh Binh's attention and assistance to Oudomxay over the past time, especially its valuable and timely aid for the Lao province in the fight against COVID-19, overcoming consequences of natural disasters and supporting Lao students who are studying in Ninh Binh.
They also suggested orientations of cooperation and support for Lao provinces in the coming time.
