The US officials were on a working visit to the province.
Thin briefed guests on the province's geography, history, culture and socio-economic situation.
Ninh Binh made a strong socio-economic development, posting an average GDP growth of 7.6%. The economic structure saw higher contributions from the services, tourism and industry sectors.
The province is also famous for numerous beautiful destinations, notably the Trang An landscape complex which has been recognised by UNESCO as a world cultural and natural heritage.
During the session, Thin said he hoped that beautiful landscapes and friendly people in Ninh Binh will leave good impressions on the delegation. He expressed his wish that the US officials will help narrow geographic distance, and enhance bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the US in general, and that between Ninh Binh province and the US in particular.
On behalf of the delegation, Kendall Calkins thanked the host for the warm reception, and expressed his hope that the visit would create a strong basis for sound relations between the two sides in the coming time.
He said he is pleased to serve as a bridge to widen multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Also at the session, the two sides discussed couples of issues related to TPP, bilateral diplomatic affairs, and the settlement of post-war problems.
