Also present at the working session were leaders of the provincial Departments of Planning and Investment; Tourism; Industry and Trade, and the Office of the provincial People's Committee.
At the working session, the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual concern and highlighted the traditional relationship between Vietnam and Iran.
Ambassador Saleh Adibi thanked the Chairman for his warm reception. He expected that there would be opportunities to boost cooperation and setting up twinning relations between provinces and cities of Iran and Ninh Binh in the coming time, especially in the fields of tourism and high-tech agriculture.
Dien, who is also Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, said he was delighted to welcome and work with the Iranian delegation.
He briefed his guests on the province's socio-economic achievements in recent years, stressing that Ninh Binh has given priority to developing tourism as a spearhead economic sector.
The province has also paid heed to developing the automobile manufacturing, assembly and supporting industries, electronic industry and hi-tech agriculture, Dien said.
Ninh Binh has established twinning relationships with localities of some countries such as Japan, Laos, the Republic of Korea, France and Egypt, he added.
Dien expressed his hope that the Ambassador would inform Iranian investors and localities about Ninh Binh's potential, advantages and investment attraction policies, thus opening up opportunities for cooperation, investment and experience exchange between the two sides.
On this occasion,the Iranian delegation visited some landscapes in Ninh Binh province.
