Nearly 20,000 job vacancies await labourers
La Thanh Tung, Director of the Ninh Binh provincial Centre for Employment Services, said in the year-end months, most businesses must work hard to fulfill signed orders, therefore their demand for employing labourers is increasing.
The centre would hold two job fairs by the year-end to meet the demand for recruitment of local businesses, he said.
To date, the centre has received over 20,000 job vacancies from 23 units and enterprises, including Vienergy Co. Ltd., Adora Vietnam Footwear Co. Ltd., and Nien Hsing Ninh Binh Garment Co. Ltd.
Number of unemployed labourers come back to work surges
Nguyen Huu Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, said in the past time, over 20 local firms had to slashed jobs of nearly 24,000 workers.
In an attempt to remove difficulties and create new jobs for labourers, the department has stepped up the communication work and introduced jobs to workers.
Besides, the Centre for Employment Services has worked with enterprises to grasp their recruitment demands.
Except for high-skilled workers, manual labourers will have jobs after one week of accessing information. The rate of unemployed labourers is rising, reaching 70%, Tung added.
