It has helped the Provincial People's Committee issue Resolution No 07/NQ-BCSĐ on developing the automobile manufacturing and assembly industry as a major economic sector.
The department has regularly reviewed and adjusted the industrial zone planning to suit the reality along with establishing an industrial zone development center to cooperate with relevant agencies to call for investment in industrial parks and assist enterprises getting involved in the effort.
It has paid special attention to power management, through finalizing a Plan on power development in2 016-2025, with a vision towards 2035, with an aim of providing a safe and reliable power network to meet the demand for local socio-economic development.
In a bid to simplify administrative procedures, the department has applied information technology, online public services, and the one-door mechanism. To date, 82 administrative procedures have been processed via the one-door mechanism.
Besides, the department has also implemented measures tor emove difficulties facing enterprises such as promoting production and trading; paying heed to trade promotion activities, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to introduce products, and seek partners; and assisting traditional handicrafts and trademark development.
With the measures, Ninh Binh province has made improvements in its business climate, and provincial competitiveness index. In 2014, the province ranked 11th in the provincial competitiveness index out of 63 provinces and cities, but in 2016, it ranked 19th.
In the time to come, the province will continue improving its business climate, calling for investments, creating jobs for local labourers, and working to spur local socio-economic growth.
