According to a report presented at the meeting, the province's industrial production maintained two-digit growth in August, with a value reaching over 8.5 trillion VND, representing a year-on-year increase of 13.5%. The figure brought the total value in the January-August period to more than 65.3 trillion VND (2.66 billion USD), a year-on-year rise of 8.6%.
The trade and service sector continued to see robust activities in August, especially tourism, accommodation and restaurant services.
Ninh Binh welcomed over 751,000 tourist arrivals in August and the National Day holidays. So far this year, the province has received 6.9 million guests, a year-on-year rise of 32.7%. The tourism sector earned over 6.76 trillion VND, up 45.7% compared to the same period last year.
In the first eight months, the province's export turnover rose by 9.6% from last year's figure to 2.28 billion USD.
Total state budget collection hit more than 10.4 trillion VND, equivalent to 56% of the estimate and up 6% from the same period last year.
Socio-cultural affairs have seen progress while security-defence has been ensured.
