Ninh Binh's industrial production increases 21.8 pct in January

Ninh Binh's index of industrial production in the first month of 2021 surged 21.8 percent on-year, according to the province's Department Statistics Office.
In January, it's industrial production index hit 6,8 trillion VND (295 million USD), representing a sharp rise of 21.8 pct against 2020.
Main driver of the surge, the mining sector reached 15.9 billion VND (686 thousand USD), went up 61.6 pct; the processing and manufacturing sector grew 6,7 trillion VND (291 million USD), an incease of 22.6 pct. Meanwhile, electricity production and distribution sector was 70 billion VND (3,02 million USD), down 24.8 pct.
In January, construction stone witnessed the largest output expansion of 1,7 times higher; followed by canned pineapple (up 2,3 times higher), embroidery products (up 40.3 pct); footwears (33.2 pct); steel (24.2 pct)….
