In the year, Ninh Binh has expanded its external relations by establishing twin ties and economic cooperation with six foreign cities and provinces, including Udomxay, Houaphanh, and Vientiane provinces of Laos, Jecheon and Asan cities of the Republic of Korea, and Lot province of France.
It welcomed 109 foreign delegations to study investment opportunities, reasearch the market, promote trade, and share experience. They included officials attending the Inter-parliament Union - IPU 132, the Thai Princess, the President ofthe parliament of Sweden and Vice President of the parliament of Palestines, among others.
Ninh Binh also has set up economic and trade relations with 15 countries and territories and has lured 41foreign direct investment projects with a combined capital of 1.05 billion USD.
In 2016, Ninh Binh should focus on effectively implementing signed agreements, while further deepening the existing relations.
The province was suggested to outline orientations and draw up specific programmes to increase cooperation and broaden ties with other countries' capital cities, attract foreign businesses, anda dvertise its images as well.
