Key export items recording year-on-year increases included camera and telephone components, with 970 million USD; cement and clinker, 320 million USD; textiles and garments, 290 million USD, and footwear, over 330 million USD.
The Asian market remained the locality's leading export market in the year, with revenue of 1.6 billion USD, accounting for 78 percent of the total.
It was followed by Americas with 324 million USD, meanwhile exports to the EU and Africa totalled 110 million USD and 10.4 million USD, respectively.
It is worth to mention the industrial and manufactured products as it greatly impacted the volume of the province's exports, with earnings exceeding 2.07 billion USD, rising 35.1 percent year on year. Camera module and telephone component parts posted the highest growth, bringing home over 970 million USD, two times higher than the amount earned last year.
Handicraft products and goods made an export turnover of over 3.9USDmillion,growing 38.3 percent over the same period; agricultural products hit 26.4 million USD, an increase of 32.7 percent compared to a year ago.
During the year, it also exported some new products such as automotive components, silicon oil, plastic products.
The impressive exports in 2019 were attributed to the province's investment in infrastructure in industrial zones, thus creating a favorable condition for enterprises.
Along with that, it also provided support policies in associated with manufacturing and production in all fields, market information, issues relating to free trade agreements, online market accession, and perfected the issuance of certificates of origin for export goods.
The efforts and close coordination made by the provincial authorities and functional branches and sectors are hoped to help Ninh Binh gain more export achievements in the time to come.
