Ninh Binh's Digital Transformation Index jumps up two places

To date, Ninh Binh is one of the three localities nationwide that have officially connected their information systems for dealing with administrative procedures with the national population database.

The number of documents received and handled on the province's public service portal increased by 112%.

Dang Tung Anh, Vice Director of the Centre for E-government at the Ministry of Information and Communications, said stepping up the building of e-administration, digital administration and digital transformation in Ninh Binh in the past time has helped improve the direction and governance capacity, accelerate administrative reforms, thus serving local businesses and people more effectively.

Local people's awareness of digital transformation has been raised gradually.

In 2022, the participation of local people in the digital environment has increased both in the number of users and usage time, especially in cashless payment platforms.

In order to boost digital transformation, authorities at all levels must pay more heed to renewing management and governance activities; forming and developing the safe digital environment and ultilities to serve production and business activities of enterprises and local people, he added.

Ngo Ton Xuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Thuong commune in Yen Mo district, said 100% of cadres have their own digital signatures and e-documents have replaced paper ones. All online public services are provided at level-3 or level-4.

Ninh Binh is striving to complete systems of e-administration platforms by 2025; basically form a digital administration, digital economy, digital society; and pioneer in piloting new technologies and models.

With its highest political determination, Ninh Binh has been completing the set targets and plans, thereby creating important breakthroughs for the province's socio-economic development.
