A delegation of Ninh Binh province led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat paid a working visit to South Africa from October 15 to 17.

At a working session with the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tuat and the delegation's members introduced the province's socio-economic situation as well as its development viewpoints and major orientations for investment attraction and socio-economic development.
They stressed that Ninh Binh has issued numerous policies to shift economic growth to the green and sustainable direction.
The province is focusing on luring investment in areas such as automobile manufacturing and assembly; supporting industry; electronic component production; clean and hi-tech industries; ecological tourism and luxury resort services, high-quality human resources training, construction of infrastructure of industrial zones, tourism areas and urban areas; hi-tech agriculture and agricultural product processing.
Tuat expressed his hope that the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry would discuss, step up trade promotion and seek cooperation opportunities between Ninh Binh and South African investors in the fields of investment, legal support and human resource training.

Ninh Binh could invest in mining, farm produce processing, building infrastructure and services, especially tourism services and IT, he said.
The Chamber would connect businesses of the two countries to step up cooperation, he promised.
Later, the delegation worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa.
Tuat hoped that the working session would help Ninh Binh to approach potential investors and partners of South Africa, who will explore cooperation opportunities in Ninh Binh in the coming time.
During the trip, the delegation also surveyed the markets of Jonesburg and Pretoria cities.
The working trip to South Africa helped to strengthen diplomatic relations and spur trade promotion between Vietnam and South Africa in general and between Ninh Binh and South Africa in particular.
