During their trip to Greece, the delegation had a working session with the Ministry of Tourism in Athens.
Leaders of the Greek Ministry of Tourism said that the country has given priority to and focused on boosting tourism promotion with Vietnam by opening flights, creating favourable conditions for the issuance of visas and building an advertisement campaign called "Vietnam - Coming to love".
The officials also expressed their wish to soon visit Ninh Binh in the coming time.
For her part, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha thanked the hosts for their warm welcome and said that the working session helped Ninh Binh gain more experience in managing and developing tourism, especially in preserving and promoting heritage values.
Ha, who is also head of the province's National Assembly deputy delegation, hoped that the visit would open up opportunities for enhancing exchanges, connections and cooperation in all fields between Ninh Binh and localities of Greece.
Later, the delegation had a working session with Dr. Ryan Rabett, head of a group of archeologists who are researching bone samples and DNA of ancient Vietnamese people dating back to 12,500 - 13,500 years ago found in Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh province.
Basing on the outcomes of the research, members of the working delegation discussed and considered the need to expand the scope and scale of the research on the linkages between prehistoric people in Cuc Phuong, Tam Diep and Trang An, thus contributing to building a project on the provincial musemum in the time to come.
Following the trip to Greece, the delegation visitedand worked with the Ramat Negev Desert Agro-Research Centre of Israel.
The two sides exchanged views on numerous issues related to expanding cooperation; enhancing the effectiveness of training programmes; seeking solutions to develop sustainable agriculture, under which paying heed to developing agriculture in Kim Son's coastal area; sending experts to help businesses and start-ups; and giving orientations for tourism development, culture and heritage conservation.
Later, the delegation visited and worked with some local enterprises in the fields of hi-tech agriculture, aquaculture, hi-tech industry and start-up.
They also made a field trip to Megiddo Biosphere Reserve - the first of its kind in Israel recognised by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) -to learn about the ways to combine social development with the conservation of biological diversity and nature.
