Since the beginning of 2022, the total herds and meat output have increased by 4.7% year on year.
Specifically, the herds of pigs exceeded 275,000; buffalos and cows, nearly 50,000; goats, over 23,000; and poultry, 6.2 million.
The outcomes were attributed to the efforts of localities in implementing numerous measures to prevent African swine fever, expand herds of animals, use available food sources, and apply scientific and technological advances in breeding.
Many local breeders proactively changed the structure of poultry and livestock breeding to meet the market demand as well as the method of production, and applying scientific and technological advances to create higher values. They also built new breeding models with higher efficiency.
In the coming time, Ninh Binh's livestock breeding sector will focus on developing breeding farms in a bid to create products with better quality and higher competitiveness capacity, towards exports.
