Ninh Binh reviews election of deputies to 15th National Assembly and all-level People's Councils

The Election Committee of Ninh Binh province held a meeting on June 15 to review the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.

Attending the meeting were Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; Chairman of the provincial People's Council Tran Hong Quang; and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc.
According to the provincial Election Committee'sreport, the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term took place in a democratic, lawful, safe and economical manner, ensuring COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
The voter turnout reached 99.57 percent. Voters elected enough six deputies to the 15th National Assembly, 50 members of the provincial People's Council, 260 members of the district-level People's Councils, and 3,391 members of the commune-level People's Councils.
There is no constituency that had to hold by-election or re-election in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, who is also head of the provincial delegation of NA deputies and head of the provincial steering committee for the election, said the election was a success.
She asked relevant sectors, agencies and election committees at all levels to complete all post-election procedures and well prepare for the first session of the People's Councils at all levels.
They were requested to step up patriotic emulation campaigns, striving to fulfill socio-economic development tasks set by Party Congresses at all levels.
The elected deputies must embark on the implementation of their own action programmes and well accomplish their responsibilities and roles as representatives of the people, Ha said.
On this occasion, 117 collectives and 203 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee for their outstanding contributions to the election.
