Since the beginning of the 2020-2025 tenure, the provincial Party Committee, its Standing Board and the provincial People's Committeehas issued numerous resolutions and plans to build transport infrastructure projects, including the provincial Party Committee's Resolution No.10/NQ-TU dated December 14, 2021 on building synchronic infrastructure, and modern and civilised urban areas in the period of 2021-2025 with a vision to 2030.
The resolution has set the goal of investing in the key transport system for regional development, urban space expansion and creating momentum for socio-economic development.
In addition, the provincial People's Committee has concentrated investment capital on key transport projects, and has directed administrations at all levels and sectors to prepare for investment and step up site clearance in a bid to shorten the progress of construction.
Pham Quoc Chinh, Director of the provincial management board of transport projects, said under the mid-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, the management board has worked as the investor of 26 transport projects with combined investment capital of over 5.78 trillion VND. Of the projects, seven have been put into operation while 13 other projects are being carried out and six others are in the process of selecting contractors.
The most noteworthy project is the East-West road. It is a life-line road aiming to develop urban areas, service and industry and create a transport axis connecting the western and eastern parts of the province as well as the northwestern region and the Red River Delta.
The site clearance for the project has received due attention. Its construction is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024.
As for the second phase (from Tam Diep city to Kim Son district), investment procedures will be completed by the end of 2025.
Ninh Binh has hastened preparationsfor the building of Ninh Binh-Hai Phong expressway's section running through Nin Binh province. Work on the project is slated to start by the end of 2024.
With its utmost efforts, high determination and actively responding to the PM's emulation "Stepping up development of modern and synchronic infrastructure; practising thrift and wastefulness combat", Ninh Binh has been resolved to speed up the building of a modern and synchronics transport infrastructure system with the aim of realizing its long-term strategic vision and strong aspiration of rapid development.
