On March 7, a 28 year old Vietnamese man has just tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) after returning to Ninh Binh from Daegu city of ROK, the location of the second largest virus outbreak in Asia.
This is the 18th case in Vietnam and the very first patient to test positive in Ninh Binh, putting an end to a straight 22 days of success for the nationwide containment scheme.
The patient, named N.T.V, among hundred of Vietnamese returned from the Republic of Korea (RoK) had been brought to two military units in Ninh Binh province for concentrated quarantine in an effort to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 caused acute respiratory disease (COVID-19).
The patient is now under special treatment in Ninh Binh General hospital.
