The latest infections are relatives of confirmed COVID-19 patients who had previously treated at the K Hospital's establishment No. 3 - one of the outbreak hotspots in Hanoi.
They had been taken from concentrated quarantine establishments in Hanoi to Ninh Binh province for continued quarantine.
Both female patients are currently quarantined and treated at the Cau Yen General Clinic.
The Department of Health said both cases have been quarantined after being transferred from Hanoi so they posed no risk of transmission in the community.
Three days earlier, two out of nine people who are relatives of and had come to take care of patients treated at the K Hospital's establishment No. 3 tested positive to coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
All these people were then brought to the Cau Yen General Clinic - one of the medical facilities in Ninh Binh which have experience in quarantining and treating COVID-19 cases.
