In early June 18 morning, local authorities received 90 Vietnamese citizens returning home from Mozambique. They then were brought to Regiment 855 for 21-day quarantine in line with regulations.
Right on the day, the provincial Centre for Disease Control, in coordination with Regiment 855 and relevant forces, took samples from these citizens for COVID-19 testing.
The testing results showed that eight of the returnees were positive to coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. They were then transferred to Cau Yen General Clinic, a subordinate unit of the Ninh Binh General Hospital, for quarantine and treatment.
A total of 28 people who had close contact with the confirmed COVID-19 patients have been quarantined and medically monitored at Gia Lac General Clinic in Gia Vien district.
