Ninh Binh receives 4.9 million visitors in five months

Of the number, 600,000 were foreigners, up 2.1% year on year.The total income from tourism revenue is estimated at VND 1.7 trillion (US$ 7.5 million), up 18% from last year.

The province has stepped up communications campaigns to promote the provincial Tourism week 2018 in Hoa Lu with the theme "Tam Coc - Trang An - yellow color", andtaken actions to improve services at local destinations.

In June, Ninh Binh is holding a provincial tourism week themed" Tam Coc - Trang An- yellow color. An array of cultural and tourist activities will be organized during the event, with highlight activities taking place in Tam Coc - Bich Dong Area, on the rice paddies along the Ngo Dong River, and belonging to the tourist route of Dinh Cac - Hang Ca - Hang Hai - Hang Ba. Especially, the Tam Coc Food Market and Walking Street will be held from 7.00pm to 11.00pm thorough the event to offer visitors many delicious special dishes and folk art performances, such as ca tru singing, cheo singing and xam singing.

The event is served as a chance to promote and introduce the unique features and outstanding values of tourism resources of Ninh Binh province, contribute to increasing the number of visitors to the local.

This year,NinhBinh expects to welcome 7.2 million visitors, including 900,000 foreigners to earn VND 2.7 trillion (US$ 118 million) in revenue.
