According to the Department of Tourism, groups of Indian tourists with the total number amounting to 4,500, will visit Ninh Binh from August 28 to September 5.
They will be divided into seven groups and make separate visits to Trang An ecological tourism site from August 28 to September 5.
The tourists are employees of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, a major pharmaceutical enterprise of India.
The selection of the Trang An ecological tourism site belonging to the UNESCO-recognised world natural and cultural heritage of Trang An as one of their destinations in Vietnam will be a big opportunity for Ninh Binh to further promote the heritage to Indian tourists.
Bui Van Manh, Director of the Department of Tourism, said Ninh Binh had previously received large delegations of tourists so the department has worked with related departments, sectors, and the management board of the Trang An ecological site to prepare the best conditions for welcoming the groups of Indian visitors.
The department has devised specific plans to serve the Indian tourists, he added.
