Ninh Binh ready for upcoming general elections

The conference was co-chaired by Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, head of the province's delegation of NA deputies and head of the provincial steering committee for the elections; Tran Hong Quang, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council and deputy head of the provincial steering committee for the elections; and Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, deputy head of the provincial steering committee for the elections and head of the provincial election committee.

Participants held that Ninh Binh's preparations for the elections of deputies to the 15^th NA and all-level People's Councils in the 2021-2026 term have been carried out on schedule and in line with regulations speculated in the Law on Elections of Deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils.

The provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, the provincial People's Council, the provincial People's Committee, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and related agencies have focused on the leadership and direction and implementation of contents of the elections.

They also pointed out difficulties and put forward resolutions to remove them to ensure the success of the elections.

Concluding the meeting, Ha said the province's preparations for the elections have been done in conformity with regulations and ensured the progress, adding that Ninh Binh now stands ready for the Election Day slated for May 23.

The provincial leader asked relevant agencies and authorities to review the lists of voters, well prepare conditions for constituents to go to the polls, ensure COVID-19 prevention and control and guarantee social order and security for this important political event.
