Ninh Binh ranks 16th in Provincial Innovation Index 2023

This is the first time the Ministry of Science and Technology has released the Provincial Innovation Index.

Accordingly, Hanoi led the country in the Provincial Innovation Index 2023 with 62.86 points. It was followed by Ho Chi Minh City (55.85 points), Hai Phong (52.32 points), and Da Nang (50.70 points).

Meanwhile, the worst-performing locality is Cao Bang province with 22.18 points.

The northern province of Ninh Binh ranked 16th in the list with 43.39 points. Some indicators have high scores namely institutions (46.16 points), human capital and research - development (42.41 points), infrastructure (64.05 points), and business development level (40.54 points).

The PII will help provinces and cities to  define their strengths and weaknesses, potential factors, and necessary conditions for boosting socio-economic development based science - technology and innovation.
