Ninh Binh, Quang Nam sign cooperation agreement on tourism development

Attending the working session were leaders of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee and representatives of provincial departments, sectors, agencies and Quang Nam Tourism Association.

Participants heard reports introducing the two provinces' tourism potential as well as their tourism development in the past time.

They also discussed a number of issues related to tourism management, heritage preservation and protection, and promoting the role of local people in developing tourism and building diverse tourism products in a bid to lengthen the stay of tourists. 

At the same time, the participants debated ways to build incentive policies and mechanisms to attract investment into tourism development. They also exchanged experience in preserving and promoting values of heritages, building a modern and civilized tourism environment and developing community-based tourism in Hoi An ancient city and My Son Sanctuary.

At the session, representatives of the Ninh Binh and Quang Nam Departments of Tourism signed a cooperation agreement on tourism development. 

After the working session, the delegation paid a fact-finding trip to some typical agriculture tourism and community-based tourism models in Quang Nam such as Tra Que vegetable village and Hoi An ancient city.
