The Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee had a working session on April 19 with a delegation of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Embassy in Vietnam, led by Choi Seung-jin, Director of the Korean Culture Centre.

At the working session, a representative of the provincial People's Committee's Office reported the outcomes of the working session between Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan and the RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young-sam on March 25.

Accordingly, the two sides suggested cooperation in fields of automobile mechanics, transport mechanics; digital transformation, green transition towards circular economy; cultural industry; investment in hi-tech zones, semiconductor manufacturing; developing innovation and start-up supporting centres; sport economy; and restoration and upgrade of historical and archeological relic sites.
At the working session, representatives of provincial departments introduced the province's potential and advantages in tourism, culture and heath care.
Apart from beautiful landscapes, unique historical and culture values, Ninh Binh is home to precious hot springs in Kenh Ga of Gia Vien district and Cuc Phuong of Nho Quan district. These hot springs are important resources for Ninh Binh to develop medical tourism.
As for investment, Ninh Binh has so far attracted 45 Korean investors who mainly specialise in producing electronic components and automobile supporting industry.
They hoped to learn experiences of the RoK in managing, preserving and promoting the values of archaeology and culture; developing cultural industry, especially fashion and film industries.
The province wished to cooperate with Korean investors in the fields of hi-end restaurants, accommodation establishments, rehabilitation centers, functional food production and distribution, and sport accessories.
Choi and his delegation's members shared their experiences and ways of Ninh Binh's concern.
He affirmed that the Korean Embassy in Vietnam and related agencies would continue to connect with Korean investors in a bid to seek cooperative opportunities as well as transfer technologies and experiences to Ninh Binh, especially in the fields of health care, culture, sports and tourism./.
