Ninh Binh province works to further improve PCI

Ninh Binh ranked 44th out of the country's 63 provinces and centrally-run cities in the 2022 PCI, with 64.22 points, moving up 14 places compared to 2021.

The result was achieved thanks to the province's efforts to implement numerous solutions synchronically, drastically and effectively.

The provincial authorities have actively grasped and removed difficulties faced by enterprises, and accompanied them.

Amid changes in the socio-economic situation caused by diseases, political conflicts, the improvement of the PCI has helped Ninh Binh overcome difficulties and challenges.

Ninh Binh ranked among provinces and cities recording positive growth. In the first quarter of 2023, it posted  8.62% economic growth, ranking 6th out of the country's 63 provinces and cities. Many firms have witnessed strong performance, especially those applying hi-tech and clean technologies.

These enterprises have created jobs for labourers, contributed to the provincial budget and spurred the province's socio-economic growth.

Though its PCI performance in 2022 has been improved, it still failed to meet the target set by the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board  and the Resolution of the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People's Committee.

Having defined that improving PCI is one of the political tasks in 2023 and following years, Ninh Binh has continued to raise the sense of responsibility of heads of sectors, and agencies; promote the dynamism, creativeness and effective cooperation of units, agencies and administrations in handling administrative procedures as it is a key solution to improve the business climate, thus creating momentum for the province's socio-economic development.
