The People's Committee of Ninh Binh province on February 28 announced its District and Department Competitiveness Index (DDCI) in 2021.
Ninh Binh province announces DDCI results in 2021
2021 was the first year that Ninh Binh built its set of DDCI assessments, which also aimed to gather feedback from businesses and people on administrative services of local state agencies.
Representatives of Bac Ninh Institute of Socio-economic Development Research, who worked as consultants for Ninh Binh, announced the province's DDCI results in 2021.
Among 30 departments, sectors and localities, the Department of Justice, the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Customs and Ninh Binh city took the top four positions.
At the conference, a representative of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) shared its experiences in carrying out the DDCI survey in a bid to improve its business and investment environment and competitiveness in the coming time.
Pham Quang Ngoc, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, urged directors of departments, heads of sectors and agencies, and chairpersons of People's Committees of districts and cities to be fully aware of the role, significance and impact of the DDCI; find out their weaknesses and shortcomings, and then build roadmaps with solutions to deal with these shortcomings.

They were asked to continue speeding up administrative reforms, with a focus on procedures, especially information about planning schemes of sectors and administrations at all levels.
He said that the province will continue to implement the DDCI survey in 2022 and in the following years. The results will be announced at the end of November every year.
