Ninh Binh provides social welfare for wanderers and homeless people amid COVID-19

They have regularly moved from one place to another, posing a risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19 in the community.

To cope with the situation, Ninh Binh authorities asked departments and sectors to strictly carry out the Prime Minister's official dispatch No. 1105.

The PM's official dispatch No 1105/CĐ-TTg  dated August 27 requested the Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and cities nationwide, the Ministry of Public security and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to receive, take care and provide social welfare for wanderers and homeless people.

Accordingly, the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs has worked with the People's Committees of districts and and cities and relevant agencies to bringing wanderers and homeless people to social support centres, conduct COVID-19 tests and provide social welfare for them.

The move also aims to ensure COVID-19 prevention and control in the province.
