The outbreaks of COVID-19 have forced many local production facilities, enterprises and factories to halt their operations, thus resulting in the unemployment of thousands of workers.
In order to support pandemic-hit workers, Ninh Binh's employment service centre has timely handled numerous procedures to assist them soon receive allowances in line with regulations.
According to the centre's statistics, by the end of October 2021, it had received 4,345 applications for unemployment insurance allowances. Of which 4,393 applications are eligible, with a total payout of over 62 billion VND.
Director of the centre La Thanh Tung said that while settling unemployment insurance procedures, its staff members have provided consultancy and introduce jobs to unemployed workers so they could easily join the labour market soon.
According to the centre, the number of job vacancies in November is 5,581. Some firms having great demand for labourers include Adora Vietnam Co. Ltd; GTV Investment Consultancy JSC and Bao Linh JTC.
In the coming time, the centre will continue to implementing policies for unemployed workers as regulations, reform administrative procedures and guide workers to make applications for allowances.
Besides, it will regularly review and introduce jobs to workers during and after their claim procedures.
The centre will propose increasing subsidy for unemployed workers to attend vocational training courses, as the current allowances are just enough for them to pursue short-term training courses.
