This is part of the draft provincial planning project for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
By 2020, Ninh Binh had already zoned off seven industrial zones with a total area of 1,396 hectares. Of which, industrial land for lease makes up 78% (1,087 hectares).
In the period of 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, Ninh Binh is planning to zone off four new industrial zones with a total area of 1,380 hectares, raising the province's number of industrial zones to 11, covering an area of 2,790 hectares.
The four new industrial zones include Gian Khau IZ II in Gia Vien district (495 hectares); Phu Long IZ in Nho Quan district (485 hectares); Xich Tho IZ in Nho Quan district (150 hectares) and Yen Binh IZ in Yen Mo district (250 hectares).
In the period of 2026-2030, Ninh Binh will continue to invest in and complete the building of industrial zones as scheduled in a bid to create clear land lots for luring secondary investors.
Specifically, Ninh Binh will complete the construction of Gian Khau II and Phu Long IZs; attract investors in infrastructure building; carry out investment procedures to build infrastructure for Yen Binh, Xich Tho and Kim Son IZs in an attempt to attract more secondary investors after 2030.
The draft planning project also devises solutions to develop hi-technology zones.
Accordingly, in the period of 2021-2030, Ninh Binh will promote and attract investment into hi-tech industries and encourage enterprises to invest in Tam Diep II and Gian Khau II IZs.
