As Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces have been meeting a wide range of difficulties due to increasing numbers of COVID-19 infections in the community, Ninh Binh's authorities decided to pick up citizens wishing to return home from the southern localities.
The plan aims to share the burden with the southern provinces and cities in COVID-19 prevention and control, showing Ninh Binh's human spirit, sense of responsibility, sentiments and care to local people who are making a living and residing in southern provinces and cities.
The province is planning to take its people home by train, bus and airplane.
Priority people are revolutionary contributors, those with fatal diseases, pregnant women and families, children under six years old and accompanied people; people with severe disabilities, the elderly, students, people on business trips or ours and stranded in COVID-19-hit regions, and labourers losing jobs and have no accommodations.
Returnees will be sent to concentrated quarantine facilities where they will stay for 14 days and will be tested regularly in line with regulations.
Ninh Binh is scheduled to pick up the eligible citizens by October 5, 2021.
