The decision was published in Document No. 14/KL-UBND dated February 16, 2022 signed by the Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.
As the province has recorded increasing numbers of daily COVID-19 cases after the Tet festival, Ninh Binh authorities asked localities, sectors, departments and sectors to continue carrying out COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
The provincial People's Committee permitted the pilot quarantine and treatment for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients at home in Ninh Binh city if they meet requirements set by the Ministry of Health.
Asymptomatic patients will be treated at home if all family members contracted the disease; or they are children under 16 years old, the elderly, serious ill patients who wish to be treated at home; and other special cases who meet the Ministry of Health's regulations and decided by the local steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control.
In the past two weeks, the total number of COVID-19 cases reached nearly 2,000 a day. Especially, many infections have been recorded in schools and industrial zones.
Ninh Binh's health sector has striven to give the third vaccine dose to local people against COVID-19. It is planning to inoculate children aged 5-12 in the coming time.
