As of February 9, or the third working day following the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, 98 percent of enterprises in Ninh Binh province had resumed operations, and over 95 percent of their workers had returned to work, according to the provincial Labour Federation.
On the first working day after the holiday ended, up to 8,000 workers of ADORA Vietnam Footwear Co. Ltd. in Tam Diep industrial cluster were back to work, equivalent to 95 percent, beginning production as normal.
President of the Ninh Binh Labour Federation Duong Duc Khanh said the federation has asked trade unions at companies and factories to conduct COVID-19 tests for all workers before returning to work and continue to applying COVID-19 prevention and control measures at their workplaces.
Right on the first working day after the Tet festival, the federation set up delegationsto visit and present gifts to workers at some companies and plants.
Besides, the federation also asked businesses to strictly follow COVID-19 prevention and control measures and stabilise production at the same time.
During the Tet festival, nearly 80,000 gift packages worth over 23 billion VND were handed over to workers and labourers in the province. Up to 202 workers were given money to buy bus tickets to return to their hometowns and 52 others who stayed in Ninh Binh to welcome the Tet festival were presented with Tet gifts by leaders of the provincial Labour Federation, Khanh added.
