As planned, the centre is holding online tours on Sunday mornings from September 19 to December 26. Each tours lasts from 45 to 60 minutes.
Apart from providing useful information about local destinations, paticipants can direct interact with and raise questions to tour guides through the centre's Facebook page.
The first online tour, which was launched on September 19, introduced the ancient capital of Hoa Lu to participants.
Other online tours discovering Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Trang An scenic landscape complex, Thien Ha cave, Phat Diem stone church, Cuc Phuong National Park, and other destinations will be held on the next Sunday mornings.
Besides, specialties of Ninh Binh like goat meat, Yen Mac fermented pork roll and shrimp sauce will be also introduced in the virtual tours.
Bui Van Manh, Director of the Ninh Binh Department ofTourism, said due to complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, local destinations must close their doors. Organising online tours aims to provide virtual experiences for visitors, popularize Ninh Binh's tourism and create jobs for local tour guides.
"Virtual tourism is seen as a trend, opening up new development opportunities for the tourism sector in many countries. We hope that with interesting virtual experiences, tourists would choose Ninh Binh as their real destinations when the COVID-19 pandemic is put under control," he said said.
