It was announced by a working delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh province People's Committee, Dinh Chung Phung, who is also deputy head of the Steering Committee for the provincial target programme on new-style rural area building after examining the results and profile of the work.
After seven years, Tam Diep city had all four communes, namely Dong Son, Yen Son, Quang Son, Yen Binh recognised by the provincial People's Committee as new-style rural areas.
The locality has mobilized over 1 trillion VND (43.9 million USD) for realizing new rural building tasks. The sum was used to build infrastructure, and concrete roads in all commune-village road networks.
It has implemented effectively preferential policies and encouraged organizations and businesses to invest in agriculture and rural development.
The annual income per capita reached33million VND (1,400 USD). The poor household rate in the four communes fell to 1.75 percent in 2016.
All locals have access to electricity and safe, hygienic water. All schools in the four communes have met national standards.
To date, Tam Diep city has fulfilled 19 criteria of new rural area building.
Tam Diep municipal authorities are completing the file featuring the city's rural area building accomplishments to submit to the central organizations for getting the official recognition as a new-style rural city in 2017.
