Ninh Binh moves up to 29th in 2018 PCI ranking

The province's PCI in 2018 has been listed in the good group, as it climbed seven rankings, from the 36th place it earned a year ago.

The northern province of Quang Ninh saw the second consecutive year of obtaining the top the position. It is followed by the southern province of Dong Thap with 70.19 points and the Mekong Delta province of Long An with 68.09 points.

Meawhile, the provinces with the lowest rankings were Binh Phuoc, Lai Chau, and Dak Nong.

The result indicates the joint efforts of local authority, sectors, branches in improving PCI with numerous measures like: simplifying administrative procedures; improving the investment climate; and reducing unofficial costs and business conditions.

To raise its PCI in the coming years, Ninh Binh authorities need to work harder to increase the transparency of the business climate, improve human resources training, better business support services, and facilitate conditions in land, tax and social insurance procedures, market management, transport and construction, among others.
