Minister Rakotovao said that his visit aims to seek agricultural cooperation with Ninh Binh.
He stated that with 80% of its population living in rural areas, Madagascar hoped to cooperate with Vietnam in agriculture and rural development. The minister believed that closer links would bring practical results in ensuring food security and social-economic development.
Speaking at the session, Vice Chairman Phung briefed his guests on the province's nature conditions as well as socio-economic development in the recent years.
Currently, many enterprises are operating in agriculture, including Ninh Binh livestock breeding JSC and Dong giao food stuff export JSC which have made profit and exported their products to foreign markets successfully.
Ninh Binh is ready to partner with Madagascar in developing agriculture, transferring agricultural technology, and sending its agricultural experts to support Madagascar,he added.
Also on the day, the guest delegation made a fact-founding tour to Ninh Binh livestock breeding JSC. The representatives of Madagascar and Ninh Binh livestock breeding JSC signed a cooperative deal.
