A delegation from Ninh Binh province, led by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, paid a working visit from January 12-14 to the southern province of Vinh Long and Ho Chi Minh City to learn about their experiences in developing the cultural industry development strategy for the 2020-2030 period.

Vinh Long and HCM City are among leading localities nationwide in building and implementing the cultural industry development strategy to 2020 with a vision to 2030 in association with restructuring, building and developing their radio and television stations.
The Vinh Long radio and television station has become a favourite channel for audiences in the Cuu Long (Mekong) River Delta with a high and stable rate. Vinh Long province has four television and one radio channels.
Ho Chi Minh City has built a cultural industry development strategy in eight fields, including film, performing arts, fine arts, photography, exhibition, advertisement, culture tourism and fashion.
The city now has 17,600 firms operating in the field of culture, making up 7.74% of the total number of enterprises. In 2020, cultural products contributed to 3.54% of the city's GRDP.

At working sessions with these localities, delegates exchanged experiences on mechanisms and policies in developing the cultural industry, especially in the field of television, such as how to develop model of press agencies, model of management, how to create brand name for provincial radio and television station; how to produce hi-quality products in order to attract more audiences and viewers.
Delegates also exchanged their views on cooperative opportunities in culture, especially in the fields of culture and art creativity, communications on tourism, building film studios, cooperation in producing historical films, organising cultural and sport events, producing souvenirs, brand names and developing heritage economy.

Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan shared the province's strategy on developing the culture sector in the period of 2020-2030 in line with restructuring, building and developing the provincial radio and television station.
Accordingly, Ninh Binh has focused on building film studios, cooperating and producing films, organising cultural events and festivals; producing souvenirs and gifts for tourists; and developing the heritage economy in an attempt to integrate deeper in the heritage economies of the country and of the world.
He also suggested cooperative opportunities with Vinh Long and HCM City radio and television stations in producing films in Ninh Binh province.
The official also hoped these localities will continue coordinate and support Ninh Binh to fully tap its potential, thereby realizing the goal of building Ninh Binh into a millennium heritage urban area and centrally-run city by 2035.
