Chairman Dinh Van Dien briefed the diplomat and his entourage of the province's natural conditions as well as its recent socio-economic situation.
Located at the southern gateway to the northern coastal region, Ninh Binh enjoys favourable conditions for transport, economic, and cultural exchanges, he said.
Tourism has been defined an economic spearhead in the coming time since the province boasts potential for the sector's steady growth, the Chairman said, informing his guests that NinhBinh welcomes around 5 million visitors a year. Apart from tourism, the province has given priority to the high-tech, green and auto industries, he added.
He expressed his wish that the visit would help the Greek delegation understand Ninh Binh's potential, strengths, and incentive policies and inform them to their enterprises and investors.
The Greek Ambassador thanked the province for its warm welcome and pledged to pay attention to helping the locality and Vietnam in general develop the tourism industry further during his working term in Vietnam.
He invited Ninh Binh leaders to visit Greece in order to exchange views and share information towards enhanced cooperation for both sides' socio-economic development in the coming time.
