Attending the meeting were Director of the Vietnam National University, HCM City Vu Hai Quan and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh People's Committee Vo Van Hoan.
Leaders of Ninh Binh province and representatives of provincial departments, sectors and agenciesand 50 groups, corporations and companies also present at the event.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc introduced the province's potential and strengths, as well as its orientations in attracting investment in the coming time.
He briefed the participants about the province's socio-economic situation in the past recent years.
Ninh Binh has been striving to improve its business climate in a bid to turn itself into a developed province in the Red River Delta and a tourism center of the whole country and of Southeast Asia as well, Ngoc said.
Accordingly, Ninh Binh will prioritise attracting investment in industrial park infrastructure, automobile supporting industry, electronic component manufacturing, hi-tech agricultural product processing, service and commercial projectsin serving tourism development.
Besides, Ninh Binh will also give priority to luring investment in hi-tech agricultural production, and scientific-technological application in aquaculture, he added.
At the meeting, investors expressed their interest in Ninh Binh's potential and development advantages, and shared their future plans in the province.
They also put forth their opinions and suggestions related to land plots to build industrial zones, allowance to establish bank branches, human resources and strategies on developing industry and green tourism.
At the same time, big investors who are investing in Ninh Binh also shared their experience.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc answered and clarified delegates' concerns.
Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha thanked businesses and investors for their attention and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for its support in organising the event.
Ninh Binh pledged to review mechanisms and policies in a bid to provide the best investment environment for investors, she said.
Ha expressed her hope that the meeting would open up long-term cooperation opportunities in the future, thus helping Ninh Binh to develop sustainably.
