In 2022, the province granted certificates of investment to 19 projects, down 11 projects from last year and permitted 66 projects to adjust capital, with combined investment of 5.81 trillion VND, 1.62-fold rise from the figure in 2021.
There were 1,057 newly-established enterprises in 2022 with total capital of 5.59 trillion VND, while 320 businesses resumed their operations.
Bui Minh Duc, Vice Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, said the above outcomes proved the strong renovation of Ninh Binh in investment attraction work. Ninh Binh has persisted with the view on not attracting investment at all costs, paying heed to the effectiveness of projects as well as the quality of growth towards sustainable development.
In an attempt to realise the 22rd provincial Party Congress's Resolution of attracting firms in building industrial zone infrastructure, urban areas, trade and services, entertainment areas, etc, leaders of the provincial People's Committee have worked with big and potential investors; held monthly dialogues with local firms to listen and collect their opinions then sought ways to solve difficulties; organised investment promotion programmes and implemented mechanisms and policies synchronically in a bid to create favourable conditions for investors, thus ensuring the goal of developing economic sectors in line with the province's socio-economic development orientations.
Ninh Binh has continued to adjust and finalise the criteria set for DDCI in a bid to increase the governance quality of authorities and units, thus improving administrative procedures related to firms.
The province has also paid due attention to foreign affairs and international cooperation in a bid to attract more investment, thus contributing to its socio-economic development.
In the coming time, Ninh Binh will continue to innovate and diversify investment attraction activities and use multi-dimensional access to investors in a more practical and effective manner, Duc said.
Ninh Binh will give priority to drawing potential investors in the fields of building industrial zone infrastructure, modern urban areas, high-quality tourism services, ecological agriculture areas and waste treatment projects that apply clean and hi-technologies, he added.
