Attending the ceremony were member of the Party Central committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Mai Van Tuat, and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, among others.
After 20 years of construction and development, the authority has made great contributions to the province's development by attracting foreign investment capital, increasing and mobisiling economic resources, raising export value, expanding international markets, changing the restructure of export commodities, thereby contributing to the state budget and labour shifting in the province.
To date, Ninh Binh has zoned off seven industrial zones, covering a total area of 1,472 hectares. Five of them have been put into operation stably with high rates of occupancy.
The industrial zones have attracted 122 projects with total registered capital of over 65 trillion VND. Of the projects, 103 were put in operation and have created industrial production value of around 60-73 trillion VND each year, contributed from 12-18 trillion VND to the state budget, and provided jobs for nearly 38,000 local labourers.

In his remark, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc spoke highly of the authority's achievements over the past 20 years.
Ngoc also asked the authority to devise specific plans and roadmaps to effectively implement goals and orientations set in the province's master planning scheme approved recently by the Prime Minister and the Conclusion at the mid-term meeting of the provincial Party Committee.
Accordingly, the authority should prioritise attracting green, clean and friendly-environmental industries which create higher production values and contribute much to the state budget, he said.
It should step up investment promotion and lure more strategic investors in building infrastructure at industrial zones under the approved scheme and orientations of development, the official suggested.
The authority needs to accelerate administrative reforms, especially administrative procedures; continue to complete its organisational apparatus and increase state management in industrial zones.
At the ceremony, provincial leaders presented flowers and certificates of merit to collectives and individuals who made outstanding work achievements over the past 20 years.
